There are times when we have to be separated, and and set apart for the work of the Lord. During those times it feels like we are alone, and it feels like we are walking through a dark period in our life. This is the time you need to draw nearer to the Lord.
We have to remember that he is still with us teaching us, and guiding us. Sometimes the lessons we are being taught are hard and some are sweet. When the hard times come remember that in the end it will all be worth it because we are in relationship with God and he has our best interest at heart.
When we are walking out what appears to be dark times the enemy will sometimes try and come in, and make you doubt, and he will try and convince you to give up and just settle for where you are, and he will try everything in his might to defeat you and keep you from pressing on!! But you have to keep the faith and keep walking in the light of the Lord.
Micah 7:8 says:
Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness,
The Lord will be a light to me.
During the dark times we may fall and we may experience a temporary set back, but we can rise up!! And turn our face to the Lord and he will set us back on the right track. It may be hard at times to trust God for every step that you take, but when we trust God to be our light in darkness; the dark times are easier to handle. Knowing God is there watching and protecting us makes the journey through those times in our lives a journey well worth taking.
